Jere and I were recently contacted by the fabulous Tina of Tina Wrona Photography to see if we were interested in doing a “photo swap” (we take pictures of them, she takes pictures of us). And, of course, we thought that was a great idea! Since we are in the middle of rebranding and building a new website…updated photos are just what we needed. Tina’s e-mail could not have come at a better time! So, THANK YOU so much!

Meet Tina and the boys from left to right: Cooper, Houston, Jeff, Winston, and Thomas. We started off at 9AM and WOW, was it cold! You would think I’d be used to the cold by now but NOPE, not even close.

They are such an adorable family!

After the session with the kids, the camera was turned on us for a little while (it is so strange to be on the other side of the camera!:)). Then, Jere and I explored a little bit, had lunch, and then met back up to do some more shooting but this time with just Tina and Jeff.

Meet the Barbers…Bryan, Amy, and little Miss Sophie! The plan was for little Miss Sophie to sleep during the session, but she had other plans. But, I can’t blame her. Why wouldn’t she want to stay awake and hang out with Jere and I??? So, with a lot of swinging her from side to side, and an electric toothbrush (they learned that she liked the sound of it), she closed her eyes for a little while. And, we didn’t waste any time getting some sleeping baby shots! I can’t image what woke her up. It couldn’t have been from her lying practically naked with her legs tucked up under herself, or resting her chin on her arms…and then putting beanies on her head. No, it couldn’t have been any of that. I guess we’ll never know.

Jere and I had great time hanging out with the whole family (including Maddox and Cooper) while we waited for Sophie to fall asleep. It was a pleasure witnessing the love that you have for each other and for Sophie. Congratulations on your precious little miracle!!

P.S. I hope all three of you were able to sleep good that night!

Wow, our first year of business is over and it was more amazing than we could have ever expected! It’s all because of our wonderful clients, friends and family…so THANK YOU! Thank you for being our “guinea pigs,” and allowing us to play and practice. Sometimes it turned out not so good and other times it turned out better than we imagined…so THANK YOU! Without all of your love, support, and encouragement, we couldn’t have done it! SO…THANK YOU!!!

We are excited to see what 2010 has in store for us!

Recently, Jere and I went up to Cornelius to do a shoot of the beautiful little Miss Maddie.

Maddie is such a happy little girl, she kept breaking out this smile over and over again. Her smile was so contagious …and it was a pleasure capturing it!
I was loving her boots, so of course I had to get a shot.

Jere and I met with Clay, Lynn, and their beautiful baby girl, Caroline, at their home to do a newborn/family session. They are such an adorable little family-quick to laugh, and so loving to one another (it makes our job oh so easy)!

It was pretty cold that day so we decided to start in the backyard and get the outside shots done first. So…introducing Miss Caroline! Isn’t she precious!?

And, always our favorite…they had props!
This has got to be one of the best smiles EVER!

We had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with you all in your lovely home. It was a pleasure documenting such a special time in your lives. Congratulations!

When Beth contacted us, she wanted to do a family photo shoot that included her husband, Ben, and their daughter Lexi, as well as her parents and Ben’s parents. And, all of this was to document a very special occasion…Alexis’s (Lexi’s) 1st birthday!

So, we planned to do the shoot on Saturday in Huntersville, but, when we got there it was overcast, and drizzling on and off. We were all asking each other if we should go for it, or should we postpone? Well, Jere had heard the weatherman report that the next day was supposed to be sunshine and blue skies (why we were taking the weatherman’s word for it I don’t know). Luckily, it ended up being the right decision because the weather was absolutely beautiful the next day!

Last but not least, meet Ben’s parents–Stan and Meredith!
Jere and I had a great time spending the afternoon with all of you! You all were such a pleasure to work with. And, we hope the parents made it safely back to Michigan.

By the way, Beth co-owns a business called Dear Baby. The product is a beautiful box that contains ways to capture and save memories of your baby, or the baby of someone you know. Such a great idea…and it makes a great gift! For more information, check out her website here.

We met up with Caleb, Laura and Zach at Ramsey Creek Park in Huntersville, NC. They are such a cute, and loving family!

Zach is one of the cutest kids on the planet! If you don’t believe us, go ahead and check out the evidence below!

He wasn’t too sure about us at first. “What are you doing up there???”He likes the logo too.We had to tear these two away from each other.

Tom, Annie, and little Ella – another great family that Ashley and I loved hanging out with! We all met at Latta Park in the Dilworth area of Charlotte, NC. There was lots of running, sliding, swinging, and splashing. When we arrived, Ash and I were warned by mommy that if Ella saw the water, we were done for…therefore, we started as far away from the water as we could get! We slowly worked our way toward the swings and slides. Then last but definitely not least, the sprayground! Thanks you again for allowing us to be a part of the family on this great day at Latta Park!
