Jere and I had a blast spending the day with Amy this past weekend! She is such a funny, fun-loving girl who was up for anything! Amy moved to Charlotte from Charleston a little over a year ago and has since opened an upscale men’s consignment store called Revolve. We started out the afternoon wandering around Uptown Charlotte.

Doesn’t she look adorable in this hat?! We realized it was missing when we got to our next location…so we hope it found a good home.

Jere has been talking about this field for about 2 weeks or more…about how it was full of flowers. Well, when we got there, of course there were no flowers to speak of, but it was still a gorgeous spot.

Since Amy owns the men’s store, she had this great idea to have on men’s clothes for some of the shots! These are my FAVORITE shots of the day!

Then, we ended the day on Amy’s friend, Jacob’s pontoon boat. We thought it’d be fun to do a dress and heels for the boat ride.
I loved her shoes! :)

Amy is so quick to laugh and funny…we had to throw in a few of the MANY we caught just like this! :)

Amy-thank you for being so open to all of the ideas that we had! You are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside and it was a pleasure spending the day with you. We must do it again soon! :)

Ashley and I met up with Kellen and Mindy this past Sunday, which was a great way to wind down the weekend following Renee and Nathan’s wedding on Saturday. Kellen is the event manager at the Suite, and always knows when and where the best parties are! While she headed up the wardrobe and makeup, Mindy did a awesome job on her hair!

We started the afternoon near the NC Music Factory, and then made our way over to the EpiCentre where we finished off with some “night life” shots in the Aloft Hotel. Thanks, Kellen and Mindy for coming out to play on such a beautiful Sunday!

Meet Allison! She began modeling just a few short months ago and wanted to add some more photos to her portfolio. In my humble opinion, I think she’s a natural.

Well, with the snow still on the ground from the night before, I had to fight the urge to play in it…I did find the time to throw a couple of snowballs at Jere though. :) Of course, like before, it was pretty cold, but compared to the weekend before with Renee & Nathan, it didn’t feel too bad out in the sun. And, speaking of sun, the light was AMAZING!!! I could have stayed and shot in some of those locations ALL DAY!

Thank you, Allison for braving the cold with us…we had so much fun! It was a pleasure working with you, and we look forward to doing it again sometime!!

Ashley and I recently had the oppurtunity to take portraits of one Miss Joanna Ball! She is a friend of ours that we know through the Charlotte Runners Meetup Group. She is the Development, E-Fundraising and Event Specialist for Habitat for Humanity in Charlotte. We asked her to be our model for a shoot, and when she agreed to pose, she did not tell us she modeled professionally! Or at least we thought she was. Usually people are camera shy, but not Joanna. She busted out moves that we never even dreamed of. These are just a few of the hundreds of great portraits we captured. Thanks again, Joanna for being a great sport and introducing us to NoDa! Can not wait to see what you will have in store for us on the next modeling adventure. Oh…and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
